Examples of Parks & Rec Departments using Blogs to connect with the community?

I think blogs are a great way for Parks & Rec Departments to reach out to the community...see my blog post ;-)

Does anyone have any examples they can share?

I've got one, although technically it's not a Parks & Rec blog, it's my local library. I think they've nailed the whole blog thing on the head.... it's timely, engaging and simply just done right.

Jason,

Your blog site looks great. You've used a nice mix of words and other media to make it an engaging site. Couple of quick questions if you wouldn't mind sharing:

1) Have you gotten any feedback on the blog from the community?
2) How have you promoted it?

Thanks!

Hello Mike,

Thanks for checking the blog out. Unfortunately I have not received any feedback on the blog. I have sent it out in several eblast which go out weekly to about 1500 local citizens. I am looking for ways to get it out there. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!
